Annual Summary:
This year our focus was on creating an inclusive presentation at PAS, we partnered with the EBM SIG and presented a well-attended session at PAS on evidence-based guidelines. We also focused on leadership transition and recruited a new leadership for our SIG who will be working for an overlap year with one of the current SIG chairs to transition

SIG Name: Quality Improvement Special Interest Group

SIG purpose/mission: To promote, support and highlight quality improvement within the Academic Pediatric Association

Current SIG goals:

  1. Increase membership engagement
  2. Partner with other SIGs for collaboration opportunities
  3. Support the annual Pre-PAS QI conference


Annual summary:
Our SIG activities were mostly centered on our presentation for the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting. This year we had a very well attended SIG meeting regarding pediatric readmissions and quality improvement efforts aimed at improving readmissions throughout the country. A panel of national experts discussed their research and ways to collaborate on this effort.

Several or our SIG members also serve as organizers and/or faculty at the annual pre-PAS Quality Improvement meeting.
